On 13/04/2022 the ‘Edustorytelling’ (EST) Multiplier event took place in Sassari (Sardegna), with the participation of local participants and representatives of the general public of adult citizens, who had the chance to be introduced to the specific project and its contents.

At the multiplier event, the participants got the chance to be introduced to the project and understand what the main topics and objectives of it are. Later on, among the participants were discussed the challenges that disadvantaged adults have to face and also the solutions that can be taken into consideration.

Indeed, the ME started with a presentation of the project and its main topics, storytelling, digital education and social inclusion of disadvantaged citizens.

The ME proceeded with the presentation of the Intellectual Outputs produced during the implementation of the EST project. The first one ‘- Curriculum on Digital Storytelling in Adult Education’’ which contains tools, methods and practical references for trainers, to support their work in improving adult learners’ skills through the methodology of digital storytelling. The second Intellectual Output “DigiStories Guide’’, complementary to the IO1, was presented as a set of guidelines, advice and methodologies for using Digital Storytelling as an instrument for educators involved in adult learning contexts. Finally, the MOOC part of IO3 was presented and the videos related to Module 4 and Module 5 (developed by MVI) were shown so that participants could understand better the aim and usefulness of the IO3.

Subsequently, one of the participants to the JSTE in Stintino – Mr. Fabrizio Contini – was present and gave his testimonial. He spoke about how during the Joint Staff were implemented activities for educators to prepare participants to lead activities employing digital storytelling.

In conclusion, the local participants got the chance to be discuss their ideas and opinions on EST topics and aims, as well as the impact that this project can cause in their area. This in particular was a topic that they found interesting to focus more on.

At the multiplier event, the participants got the chance to understand what the main topics and objectives of EST are.

Later on, a fruitful discussion arose among the participating educators and trainers on challenges that disadvantaged adults have to face and also the solutions that can be taken into consideration. To the discussion participated also the adult citizens presents, who had the chance to state their opinions about the actions and activities that they think could be interesting and helpful for them.

The ME started with a presentation of the project and its main topics (storytelling, digital education and social inclusion of disadvantaged citizens) and then proceeded with the presentation of the Intellectual Outputs produced during the implementation of the EST project:

  • “IO1 – Curriculum on Digital Storytelling in Adult Education’’ which contains tools, methods and practical references for trainers, to support their work in improving adult learners’ skills through the methodology of digital storytelling.
  • “IO2 – DigiStories Guide’’, complementary to the IO1, was presented as a set of guidelines, advice and methodologies for using Digital Storytelling as an instrument for educators involved in adult learning contexts.
  • “IO3 – Edustorytelling MOOC” was presented and the videos related to Module 4 and Module 5 (developed by MVI) were shown so that participants could understand better the aim and usefulness of the IO3.

Subsequently, representative of MVI presented to the participants the results of the JSTE implemented in Stintino to prepare participants to lead activities employing digital storytelling and after they started a discussion with participants about their ideas and opinions on EST topics and aims, as well as the impact that this project can cause in their area.

Among the stakeholders presents, there were some education institution (Uniss, university of Vechta, Scuola Pitagora) and other local NGOs (Associazione Pitagora, +O). Adult educators and trainers also took part in the event.
